2013 - THE BIG EASY.

This year I am changing my philosophy on success and how to get there.  For the past few years I have come up with a word of the year to live by.  A mantra of sorts.  I do this in lieu of resolutions.  Setting this intention has always helped me to focus on my goals - mostly my business goals.

This is the year of EASY!

It took me a moment to come this conclusion.  I kept trying to think of words that would really PUSH my business forward like they have in the past couple of years.  Last year was the year of EXPOSURE.  That seemed to work out well.  ;-)  The year before was the year of FOCUS.

At this point in my business I am starting to make the transition to looking at the bigger picture.  This year I want to LEAD my business.  I want to work PROACTIVELY instead of reactively.  You know what I mean?

I am considering why I am so passionate about building this business and the life I want it to afford me. No where in that definition is the word HARD.  I don't dream with my husband about working sooooo hard. I dream about things being EASY.  I dream about things just flowing into place.  I dream about working smarter, not harder.  I dream about spending more time playing and discovering.

I mean, duh, right??!

Americans take so much pride in how HARD we work.  Maybe we should take pride in how smart we work and how much we get to play as a result.

Don't get me wrong, this will be another transformative year for my business.  However, I believe I don't have to kill myself to get there.

I believe instead that my dreams will come to me - EASY.

Have a word?  Please share!  I love the idea of putting it out there and thus making it more real.  Cheers to an EASY, fruitful 2013 that is full of play and discovery.
