This is one of my favorite times of the year. The crisp chill in the air, the boots and cozy chunky sweaters are some of the things we crave so very much after a long, long hot summer (in the south anyway). The real highlight of the season Thanksgiving - also known as the all American tradition of eating, drinking, and negotiating our crazy family members. We gather, we laugh, and we get excited about our favorite football teams all while surrounded by a full on feast of savory side dishes and sweet potato pies. All this festive-making (Is that an actual term? No, well, you know what I mean) we must of course set the scene. What is my number 1 tip for this and any festive occasion?
Flowers! Always Flowers!
Hold on - before you go all flowers and the turkey and the wine, that adds up! Let me just say you can do beautiful things with simple flowers and small (like one bold bloom) arrangements. What is great about fall is you can use things from your back yard to fill in the gaps. Pinecones, acorns, and rosemary all make for great accents to your table decor.
When you really want to hit the easy button or send something if you can't make it home for the holidays, FTD is your absolute go to. Options are available that are pretty low so they can go straight from the box to the table. Let's face it, that is what we need when we are cooking, managing kids, and accommodating guests! Nationwide same day delivery makes it a done deal in my book.
