let's talk color: nyfw

We've been feeling it coming on and the spring shows helped to seal the deal. A full on color explosion is in our near future, and we could not be more excited. Remember when we declared that yellow was our new BFF? Looks like the yellow love is going to be all over retail in the coming seasons.

Don't fret there truly is a golden shade that works for everyone no matter the skin tone. AND of course as with any color trend, the rules we live by remain the same. Every trend is not for everyone and a little dose of trend can go a long way.

Get ready for a few show stopping shades to be everywhere next year including this breezy beautiful lilac. This color is so refreshing and is beautiful and easy to bring into both your closet and your home. You can even bring the color in just in a floral arrangement and instantly feel refreshed.

Honorable mention goes to these juicy honeydew inspired shades. I love the idea of mixing these in stunning tonal ways. How fresh would this be as an update for outdoor textiles, bedding, and tabletop?! Yum!

Never count out the power of pink. Splashes of this color were seen on many runways. Keeping things monochromatic keeps the hot pinks super chic. Layering different shades and tones of color like this no only keeps an outfit feeling instantly put together, but also helps to create cohesion in a space.

Spring is going to be all about embracing a playful attitude about color, so get ready to have some fun!
